The 81st Annual S.I.T. Technical Conference will be held in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A., from Sunday, April 18th to Wednesday, April 20th, 2022.  The city of Orlando, nicknamed “the City Beautiful”, is one of the most-visited cities in the world primarily driven by tourism, conventions and other major events.   In Orlando, besides Walt Disney World, there is a mix of attractions, world famous restaurants, high end outlet shopping centers, museums, theatrical performances, and concerts.  The meeting venue will be the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress a beautiful resort located on a lake within 5-minute drive of Disney Springs, Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, 3.8 mi (6.1 km) from Discovery Cove and 4.1 mi (6.7 km) from SeaWorld Orlando.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the hotel has implemented special measures such as enhanced cleaning procedures,  contactless check-out, and other guest safety measures.

As a financial incentive for the members to attend the 2022 conference, the S.I.T. Executive  committee decided that conference registration fees will be reduced by $450.00 for a member attending the conference who is associated to an S.I.T. corporate member in good standing.  The committee established that there will be a limitation of one member per corporate member.  This conference fee reduction may not be combined with other registration fee reductions available to first time attendees, first authors, symposium panelists, or graduate students as defined in the SIT policies or bylaws.
