Applications for presentations in 2019 are now being accepted through January 15, 2019.

Dear S.I.T MEMBER:

S.I.T. will hold its 78th Technical Conference in 2019 in Durban, South Africa. It may seem early notice, but I am organizing the technical program which falls on Monday, May 6, and Tuesday, May 7, 2019. I would like you and your company to give strong consideration to preparing a Paper or a Technical Poster for display. The paper or poster should address the following themes among others:

• Management tools: TQM, Six Sigma, People involvement and commitment,
• Training, Human-Machine Interfaces, other…
• Biotechnology and Sugar, Environment Policy, other…
• Co-Products from Sugar Refining
• Issue & Crisis Management, Process Safety, Food Safety, other….
• Processing, Packaging, Sugar Handling, Energy, Decolorization, other…..
• Analytical, Colour Handling, NIR, On Line Analyses, other…..

Please be reminded that it is the policy of S.I.T. not to have papers of a commercial nature. Upon receiving your offer for presentation, we will immediately send you “Instructions and Suggestions for Authors and Presenters of S.I.T. Papers” or “Suggestions for the Presentation of S.I.T. Posters”. Click here to find these instructions online.

I would appreciate a voice mail or e-mail (preferred) to the address below for my attention if your organization will or will not prepare a Paper/Poster for the Durban Conference. If positive, please give the title. I am looking forward to your prompt response.
